I Love Britto: Kuwait

I was looking for a gift for a friend and I remember hearing that Britto was now being sold in Kuwait. Romero Britto is a pop artist that does some amazing Picasso-ish creations. Now besides being an amazing artist he also has a line of products which make really cool gifts and now they are available in Kuwait.

You can get all this cool stuff and more on their website here.

Happy Shopping! :)

BrightLumba: Digumz

I had read about Digumz on other blogs before but I wasn't really interested in renting video games because I'm not that hardcore of a gamer, I will occasionally feel like playing a game and then I do the old school thing and go to Rihab (btw that place just gets sketchier everytime I go). I also didn't find the idea that new as there was a website Kakkuii that did videogame renting in Kuwait a couple of years back (I looked them up and their website is currently under construction).

Now for the reason I am writing this post and why I am excited about Digumz! They SELL videogames and DELIVER them to your house! Woot woot for my lazy ass! They sell everything from videogame consoles, accessories, and games and as far as I could see for the same price that you would find them if you went to an actual store. They also sell kids movies and cartoons on dvd and blue ray so if you have your nieces and nephews coming over and need to keep them busy this is a godsend.

They accept both cash and knet, and they deliver within an hour. They only deliver between 5pm and 10pm which is can be a bit inconvenient though. A Kuwaiti guy delivered the game, I'm not sure if it was one of the owners, but kudos for putting that much effort into your business ya36eek il3afya.

If you want to rent videogames go to this website.

If you want to go to their online store where you can buy stuff go here.

P.S. Sorry Digumz for stealing the pic from your website but I needed something to put with the post :p

Coolest Camp Ever!

This is a really cool idea, a summer camp thats a little different than your usual summer camp. I remember summer camp as a kid they would take us swimming, rock climbing, skiing etc. which was cool but nowhere as cool as this!

This summer camp called Pali Adventures has specializations that the kids can choose from like Hollywood Stunt Camp, Rockstar Academy, Culinary Institute and Secret Agent Camp! I'm sorry but I totally wanna go back and be a kid just so I can go!

Not only that! But while I remember activities being scheduled for me as a kid, kids that go to this camp get to choose what activities they are doing for the day at breakfast on iPod Touches!

Amouage Factory

So when I was in Oman I went into the Amouage store, its a Omani company that creates perfumes among other things. While I was in their store I learnt from the salesperson that their factory was open to the public and you could go and visit it.

So of course I did :p I have to say at first I was really disappointed, I was expecting a big factory, but it turned out to be a pretty small place. They produce a maximum of one thousand bottles a day, and everything is hand made from the scents to the putting together of the bottles.

I later realized that while the four rooms that their production consisted of were interesting, the store was even more so. The store is the first place you see when you walk in, but me being in an eternal hurry I kinda breezed right past it :p

The cool thing about the store is that you can actually see the ingredients (is that the right word?) that they use to make the perfumes. They have them displayed in jars around the store, also next to each perfume they have pictures of the exact ingredients that go into that perfume. The store clerk was really friendly and explained all of this to me :)

I noticed that there was a lot of construction going on around the factory and when I asked the store clerk she informed me that they were expanding and if I were to come back in a year I would see a much nicer factory since they were going to design it to accomadate tours more fluidly and actually take you through the production process step by step. So while I think its a really interesting place to visit if your in Oman, I would wait a year ;p

Grand Hyatt Muscat

So when I was booking my hotel in Muscat for the National Holiday I made the mistake of waiting till the last minute (Ooops!!!) So The Chedi and The AlBustan hotels were fully booked. I was kinda irritated coz I was looking forward to a relaxing lie by the pool or the beach, I remembered that the Grand Hyatt was pretty good and luckily they had a couple of rooms left! Phew!

Now when I got there they didn't have the beachview room that I had reserved but luckily to make up for it they upgraded my room, so I guess that was okay. The room was really nice, and there was a Nespresso machine, which I looooove! I confess!! I am a coffee addict!!! And Nespresso is my dealer mwahahaha! :p

The weather was amazing which made the pool the main focus of my vacation (this lead to an itty bit of a sunburn @_@ ). Sunburnt in February, did NOT see that coming. But I'm also tanned in February so it was totally worth it ;p

Having breakfast outside on the patio with the view and the sound of the birds and waterfalls was amazing! I gotta say this vacation was just what I needed to relax and re-center. Overall if you cannot find a reservation in the Chedi, Shangrila or AlBustan, then Grand Hyatt is a really good choice, I would stay there again.
